NAMA signs petrochemical production deal
Saudi Arabia, Business, 10/29/1997
The Arabian Industrial Development Company (NAMA) has signed a license and technical services agreement with the Japanese company Showa Denko to build epichlorohydrin project in Jubeil city in Saudi Arabia.
The Japanese company will provide the latest technology for this project--the first epichlorohydrin production facility in the Middle East.
All the major raw materials will be produced locally. Of the total production 11,000 tons every year will be used in NAMA's epoxy resin project, which is expected to start commercial production in early 1999. The rest of the product is destined for the regional and international market.
