Iran: Mena conference is a US-Israeli conspiracy

Iran charged today that the US aim in backing the Middle East economic conference in Doha due to be held next month was to divide the ranks of Moslem countries.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that his government believed that the Mena conference goes against the solidarity of the Islamic World.
Iranian authorities are reported to have informed Qatari officials of
their complete opposition to holding such a forum that they consider
part of a conspiracy by Washington and Israel to split the Islamic
World.
So far, only a very small number of Arab countries have declared their
intention of taking part in the economic conference because of the
participation of Israel.
