Syrian higher council discusses 1998 agriculture budget

Chaired by the Syrian prime minister, the Higher planning council on October 27 held a meeting to discuss the budget plan of 1998 for the Ministry of Agriculture and affiliated establishments.
Participants in the meeting discussed memoranda submitted on 1998 budget plans for the Ministry of Agriculture and affiliated establishments.
They also discussed 1997's volume of actual spending and 1998's proposed sums for new, renovation and replacement projects, and hindering obstacles and means of overcoming them.
