Clashes continue between settlers, Palestinians in Hebron

Israeli settlers in the heart of Hebron, on the West Bank, have continued their attacks on Palestinians living in the areas, residents said. The residents noted that settlers had thrown rocks and empty bottles at Palestinian houses in the city while Israeli soldiers increased their patrols along the so-called green line that separates some 80 percent of the city from its 20 percent part that is still under Israeli military occupation.

In Tal Rumeidah, one of the hills towering Hebron where settlers took over a number of houses in the early 80s, Palestinians said they were beaten up by the settlers and that Israeli soldiers on guard in the area arrested a number of Palestinians instead of halting the settlers' provocation.
