Cooperation between Egypt and Malawi
Egypt, Economics, 10/25/1997

Egypt and Malawi signed two agreements in the field of economic and technical cooperation between the two countries. A ministerial committee will be set up to follow up the implementation of the two agreements and to boost the joint cooperation between the two countries.

These agreements are the first ones between the two countries in the economic and technical fields, which will give great opportunities for Egyptian businessmen to set up investment projects in Malawi.

The volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached $3.8 million. Malawi expressed its desire to cooperate with Egypt in the fields of agriculture, tourism, oil, and irrigation.

These agreements were signed to protect the investment and economic cooperation between the two countries as Egypt is keen on boosting the economic cooperation with the African countries.
