New warships join Egyptian naval forces

At the beginning of next year, Egypt will receive a number of warships of the Perry class. Egypt received the first two units of this type last January. The commander of the Egyptian Naval Forces, Field Marshal Ahmed Saber, stated that the planes borne by these warships will also arrive next year which are of the type S.H. Togy.
Egyptian land forces have recently received a number of minesweepers and yachts for coastal protection. It was disclosed that the coast defense system includes rockets and infantry forces which are used in protecting the coasts and borders of Egypt.
Saber said that the Egyptian Naval forces are holding joint training with the neighboring countries like France and Italy in addition to the Bright Star Military Training '97 with the USA, France, Italy, UK, and the UAE.
