Moussa's speech is strong-worded says Israeli press
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 10/25/1997
The Israeli press described as "strong and severe" the speech given by Egypt Foreign Affairs Minister Amr Moussa on last Monday in which he criticized Israel for "provocative policies of brute force" that were eroding the chances of reaching a peace deal with the Palestinians.
Moussa unleashed his attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government while in Israel for the inauguration of the Peres center for peace, a private institute established by Nobel peace laureate Shimon Peres, the ex-Israeli prime minister.
Israel's Maariv and Haartz newspapers highlighted Moussa's indication that the Middle East region stood at a very dangerous crossroads, Al Ahram daily reported.
