Mandela supports Libya

Defying the US and others by visiting Libya, South Africa's Nelson Mandela called on the UN to lift its sanctions against Libya, saying they are hurting the people.
The sanctions were imposed as a result of the Lockerbie bombing incident. Mandela is fond of the Libyan leader who was his supporter during his struggle in his previous role as an imprisoned rebel in South Africa.
