Egypt to host Interpol conference

Egypt will host Interpol's annual conference in October 1998, Interpol's general assembly decided at the end of its regular conference in the Indian capital yesterday.
Brigadier Serageddin Al Roubi, chief of Egypt's Interpol and main Egyptian delegate to the event, said the decision was the "most esteemed international recognition to the Egyptian police and security." It is the first time an Arab country will host the meeting, Al Akhbar daily paper said today.
