Saudi Arabia arrests 5,000 illegal workers

Over the last three months, Saudi Arabia warned illegal residents in to prepare their legal papers to stay in Saudi Arabia or to leave the kingdom.
With the expiration date for amnesty laspsed a week ago, the Saudi police on October 23 arrested 5,000 illegal foreign workers.
Those arrested will face six months in jail and they have to pay a fine of $27,000 US.
