1000 heart operations at Prince Sultan Cardiac Center

The Prince Sultan Cardiac Center (PSCC) celebrated its first anniversary on October 23.
The center has conducted 1000 heart operations, including two heart transplant operations, 518 heart operations for children, 137 operations for changing the heart valves.
According to Dr. Saad Al Youssef, first consultant in children's heart surgery, one percent of the Saudi people suffer from heart problems, including some 6500 children. The center's staff is 70% Saudi.
