Russian foreign minister in region to discuss peace process

Russian Foreign Minister Yevegini Primakov will start a three-day visit to the Middle East on October 29 which will begin in Lebanon, followed by stops in Syria, Israel, the Palestinian self rule areas, and Jordan and ending in Egypt on 31 October.
The official spokesman of the Russian Embassy in Cairo stated that the visit aims to discuss the difficult deadlock of the peace process and the attempts to solve the problems through holding serious talks.
It is expected that the visit will end on 31 October in Cairo, after which the Russian Foreign Minister will head to Russia to brief President Boris Yelstin on the situation in the Middle East in a comprehensive report on the peace process and the obstacles obstructing its progress.
Russia is trying to study the situation in the Middle East in order to decide its future moves to salvage the peace process.
