Palestinian Authority to coordinate peace process with Syria?

A senior Palestinian negotiator said yesterday that the PLO did object to coordinating its peace moves with other Arab states, including Syria, but only the PLO could negotiate for Palestinians.
Negotiator Hassan Asfour was reacting to comments by Palestinian police chief Major-General Nasser Yousef that Syria should play a "main role" in final peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Al Wafd daily said today.
