Masharqa confers with Russian Orientalist

Syrian Vice President Dr. Mohammad Zouheir Masharqa, received on October 22 the deputy director of the Russian Orientalist Studies Institute, Professor Vladmir Assayev, and head of the institute's Economics department, Professor Alexandre Flyomik.
Talks dealt with relations existing between the scientific institutions of the two countries. Mr. Flyomik hailed the progress reached by Syria in the spheres of higher education and scientific research.
