Trade exchange among Gulf countries improves

The volume of trade exchange between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is expected to soar during the coming period, especially after applying the recommendations ratified by the GCC Ministers of Industry in Doha few weeks ago.
Statistics prepared by the secretariat general of the GCC indicated that the number of factories which are entitled to be exempted from the customs increased to 1210 factories by the end of last June compared to 1169 last year.
Saudi Arabia tops the list with 846 factories, UAE has 314, Kuwait has 107, Bahrain has 83, Oman has 70, and Qatar has 48.
