GCC Ministers end meeting

The GCC ministers of labor and social affairs concluded their meeting in Doha yesterday.

Qatar's Minister of Civil Service and Housing Sheikh Falah bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani gave a speech at the closing session in which he said the GCC states have common objectives and are working together sincerely and in co-operation in their drive towards a bright future.

The ministers adopted resolutions related to increasing employment
opportunities and facilitating movement of manpower in the GCC states.

Meanwhile the GCC planning and development ministers started their fifth meeting in Doha yesterday under the chairmanship of Saleh Abdu Daud al-Mohanadi, secretary :general of the Higher Council for Planning.

Addressing the opening session, Mr. al-Mohanadi said the aim of the
meeting was to make planning more effective. The opening session was also addressed by GCC :Secretary General Jamil al-Hujailan who said the GCC states has made great strides in the development domains.
