Syria's central role in peace process stressed

A delegation on French - Syrian friendship Society led by its chairman Heny Servan and the French Ambassador in Damascus on October 21 visited the liberated city of Quneitra.
The guests were greeted at Quneitera entrance by deputy chairman of the governorate council executive bureau Mohammed al Mukbel and a number of senior officials . Mr. al Mukbel explained to the guests the history of the Syrian Golan and its people's steadfastness in countering the Israeli occupation, their clinging to their Syrian identity and their absolute loyalty to the Syria.
Mr. Al Mukbel spoke about the Israeli deliberate destruction of Quinetra and a number of the Golan villages and towns . Mr. Servan and the French Ambassador affirmed Syria's central role in achieving peace in the Middle East and demanded the achievement of just and comprehensive peace on the basis of UN resolution 242, 338 and the formula of land for peace .
