Singing programs and inter-Arab joint productions

The Seminar on "Singing Between the Radio and the TV" which was held in Cairo within the activities of the 6th Arab Singing Festival stressed the necessity of producing programs that could be exchanged among the Arab countries, and the importance of providing studio engineers with scholarships to the Academy of Arts in Cairo.

The seminar also called for forming hearing committees to study the text of songs so as no song would be produced before it was approved by these committees. It also called for evaluating the programming on Arab radio and TV to focus on high-quality songs. The seminar was headed by the director of the Egyptian Radio, Hamdy Al Konaisey, the director of the Lebanese Radio, Fouad Hemdan, the broadcasting expert Saad Labib, and the director of the Arab Radio Confederation, Raouf Al Basty.
