Egyptian minister of supply signs Chinese agreements

Egyptian Minister of Supply Dr. Ahmed Goweili met today in Cairo with the Chinese delegation headed by the Chinese deputy Minister of Trade Cho Cheng. The two sides held important discussions and signed a number of agreements through which Egypt will export its products to the Chinese market.
The meeting also concentrated on following up the outcome of the Egyptian prime minister's visit to China which concentrated on boosting the economic relations between the two countries. Dr. Goweili and a number of Egyptian ministers were members of the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister.
The Chinese delegation will participate in the 5th Exhibition of Egyptian Exports which will be inaugurated next Saturday by Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal Al Ganzouri and Dr Goweili in addition to a number of ministers and foreign visitors. They will also sign a number of contracts with the Egyptian Aluminum Co., through which China will import 20 thousand tons of aluminum from Egypt.
The visit of the Chinese delegation comes in response to an official invitation from Dr. Goweili. The Chinese delegation includes eight government officials in addition to 6 officials from 3 of the biggest Chinese companies, who will study the Egyptian products that could be exported to the Chinese market like the Egyptian orange.
