GCC naval forces hold joint exercise

Naval forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, currently taking part in the "Solidarity 5" war games, began their exercises with live ammunition in Bahrain's territorial waters on land and sea targets.
The Gulf News Agency said on October 15 that the participating forces fully and precisely carried out their missions assigned to them.
It quoted an official at the general command of Bahrain's defense forces as expressing satisfaction at the capability of the participating forces in dealing with the most sophisticated weaponry.
The military official stated that the GCC countries were keen on asserting their combat efficiency and readiness on both the offensive and defensive levels.
