Somali mediation to be heightened

Egypt and Ethiopia agreed yesterday to intensify their joint efforts to help warring Somali factions reach a peaceful settlement to the crisis which divided the African country. Egypt's new envoy in Addis Ababa, Marwan Badr, met the Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Ministry Undersecretary on the current efforts to achieve national reconciliation among Somali warlords, Al Akhbar daily said today.
