Arabsat to run French TV channel

The Saudi-based Arabsat has agreed to broadcast another French television channel after scrapping a contract with Canal France International (CFI). After a board meeting in Dubai on October 13, Arabsat said in a statement that it would air TV-5 programs "which will be in keeping with Arab and Islamic values," under an agreement with the French Culture Ministry.
