World Bank team study privatization role in Qatar

Qatar is currently hosting a four-member delegation of experts from the World Bank sent to study the prospects for privatizing several Qatari industrial projects. The team is led by Mahfouz Tadros, chairman of the WB is technical committee for the Middle :East.:
Doha-based Peninsula newspaper reported today that the delegation came to Qatar to hold talks with senior government and private sector officials for the privatization of existing projects. The team will reportedly collect all the relevant data from various ministries, state-owned corporations and private firms and return to Doha next month, after analyzing them. The international experts met today with several officials from :the ministry of finance and economy and will resume their talks tomorrow. :
Tadros praised the performance of many state-owned corporations and public sector enterprises in Qatar such as Q-Tel (Qatar Public Telecommunications Corporation), Qasco (Qatar Steel Company) and Qapco (Qatar Petrochemical Company).
