Japanse prime minister to visit Saudi Arabia next month
Saudi Arabia, Economics, 10/8/1997

Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto will visit Saudi Arabia next November in response to an official invitation from the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdel Aziz. The visit aims to strengthen relations between the two countries.

The Japanese prime minister will discuss with Saudi officials ways of strengthening the economic relations between the two countries and exchanging experiences in the social, scientific, and educational fields. The peace process will be on the top of the discussions as Japan is one of the leading countries offering financial aid to the Palestinian Authority.

A diplomatic source mentioned that the visit will witness the signing of export and trade transactions with Japan, boosting its electronic and industrial exports to Saudi Arabia.
