British military ships to Qatar

A Gulf source stated that Qatar will receive two military ships at end of April next year from Britain. A British military vessel will also visit Bahrain next December to participate in joint maneuvers.
The source added that Britain and Qatar signed an memo of understanding through which Qatar will buy military equipment worth LE 450 and British fighter planes, ships, and missiles in the coming period.
The Commander of British naval forces in the Gulf Admiral Michael Boise stated that his country is interested in the security of the Gulf countries. He welcomed the arrival of the US aircraft carrier Nimitz to the Gulf, following Iranian sorties into Iraqi territory. He stressed his country's keenness to boost its military presence in the Gulf area.
