Euro-Arab medical conference opens
Syria, Medicine, 10/8/1997

The 9th Arab-European Medical conference for endoscopic surgery opened in Aleppo, Syria on October 7. The conference is held by the Higher Education Ministry in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Physicians Union in Syria and the Military Medical Services department.

Addressing the conference, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Salha Sanker said Arab and European surgeons have come from different countries to exchange knowledge and expertise in order to boost research applications and practice.

The conference will enable participants to acquaint themselves with the latest scientific developments in the world of modern medicine as well as to exchange medical and academic expertise.

Taking part in the conference are more than 120 European professors and physicians representing medicine faculties at several European universities. The three-day conference is also attended by Syrian post-graduate students.
