Sudanese opposition leader Garang in Cairo soon
Sudan-Egypt, Politics, 10/7/1997
An External Relations official in the People's Front for the Liberation of Sudan, Dier Alore, confirmed that the Sudanese opposition leader John Garang will visit Cairo during the last days of October.
Alore said that his visit to Cairo aims to prepare for Garang's planned visit. Alore will deliver a verbal message from Garang to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on developments in the Sudan situation and the victory achieved by the opposition forces.
Alore added that he will meet with Al Sadek Al Mahdi, with whom he will study coordinating work with the forces of Garang. Alore also said that the accusations raised by the Sudanese government against its neighbors are unjust and false.
