Egyptian cinema produces first film about Dodi and Diana

The Egyptian cinema wants to be the first to produce a film about Diana, Princess of Wales and her Egyptian boyfriend Mohamed "Dodi" Al Fayed, who were killed in a car crash last month.

The Egyptian cinema will produce this film which will be financed by some of the Arab producers. L.E. 3 million was initially allocated to its production.

The film will bear the title Hob Hata El Mawt ("Love Till Death"). It will contain real documentary shots showing Diana and Dodi Al Fayed in the British Isles.

The Egyptian film star Ahmed Zaki, who previously played the character of the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser will also play Dodi Al Fayed. Shereen Reda will play the character of Diana. Farid Shawky, known as "Hero of the Egyptian Cinema" will play Dodi's father.

The film will be directed by Aly Badrakhan. It will be shot in Athens, London, and Alexandria. Shooting will start immediately after the scenario is finished by Youssry Garieb who will collect the material on the life of Diana and Dodi, especially the phase of their love and life together.
