GCC civil defense meeting

GCC civil defense directors opened their ninth meeting in Doha yesterday.

The two-day meeting deals with several important topics including the relationship between insurance companies and civil defense bodies, risks from various types of weapons including chemical, nuclear and biological warfare. The standardization of safety regulations, preventive supervision, the unified report of the seven security committees, a GCC memo and relevant decisions adopted at the 15th meeting of the GCC interior ministers will also be reviewed.
