Sudanese beef marketed in Israel

The Kuwaiti paper "Al Qabas" reported that Sudanese beef and mutton are marketed in Israel under the claim that they are imported from Jordan. The paper said that the Sudanese animal meat is available in Israeli markets under the trade mark of "made in Jordan." The paper said that it obtained its information after the visit of Jordan Prime Minister Abdul Salam Al Matali to Khartoum at the beginning of last week.
"Al Qabas" said that high level diplomatic sources said that the Sudanese and Jordanian governments agreed that Amman will import the Sudanese animal meat and export it to Israel after changing the country of origin label.
