Saudi soldier makes trip 40 day trip on foot to Jerusalem for peace

Saudi Arabia has permitted a soldier to travel to Jerusalem on foot, promoting a just Arab-Israeli peace, the Saudi News Agency said yesterday.
A Saudi soldier named Meklid Ben Khaled Al-Otaibi is traveling under the slogan "Yes for a just peace" the paper said. Al-Otaibi will start the 40-day trip today, walking to Islam's holiest mosque in Jerusalem, Akbar El Youm reported today.
The trip will last 40 days during which Sargeant Al-Otaibi will cover a distance of 2000 km walking from the holy city of Makkah through Jordan and then to Jerusalem.
