Grand Imam spells out Islam's peace view

The Grand Imam of Al Azhar (the holy institute) Sheikh Mohamed Sayed Tantawi told the inaugural meeting of the International Council for Islamic Call and Rebief's annual convention that the meetings of top Muslim leaders aim at serving Muslims and Islamic affairs.
He also added: Muslims should abide by peace as a sublime principle but he added that the Muslims nation is ordered by the Quran (the holy book of Islam) to defend themselves when attacked, Al Gomhoriea daily said today.
