Bahrain to take legal action against citizens residing abroad

Judicial authorities have begun taking legal action against Bahraini citizens residing abroad on charges of involvement in anti-state activities, according to the Gulf News Agency on October 2.
The official Gazette, published on October 3, reported that the General Prosecutor took legal proceedings on July 20 against eight Bahrainis residing abroad on charges of involvement in sabotage.
The Gazette, which published the names of the accused, said the charges against them included collaboration with a foreign state to conduct hostile actions against the Gulf state and topple the Bahraini leadership with force.
