EU activists accuse Israel of human right abuses

Members of the European Parliament Pierre Pradier and Tubiana Michel last week toured Palestinian areas as part of a delegation of the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH), a non-governmental organization with official observer status with the UN and European Union.
Pradier said the EU-Israel association agreement involving trade, educational, industrial and cultural cooperation would be up soon for ratification.
FIDH accused Israel of violating Palestinian rights and said the Israel's hardline polices would lead to violent confrontation, Al Gomhoria daily said today.
