Egypt ready to reopen Kekhya file
Libya, Politics, 10/3/1997
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa denied yesterday his country's alleged involvement in the disappearance of Libyan dissident Mansour Kikhya, who disappeared in Cairo in 1993.
Moussa--replying to a Washington Post newspaper report that claimed the CIA had information that Egyptian agents handed Kikhya to Libya--said that Cairo was ready to reopen the case, "once additional or new dues are provided."
Moussa said the Kikhya case was on the agenda of topics to be discussed with US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on next Monday. He added that the Kikhya's wife doubted the credibility of the CIA reports which claimed his death in Libya, Al Ahrar daily said today.
