Increase in taxes on cigarettes and customs duties on cars in Lebanon

The Lebanese government imposed new taxes on imported cigarettes with a 10% increase which would provide between $62 to $83 million a year for the Lebanese government.
Customs duties will also increase by 20% for cars whose price is less than 20 million liras, 50% on the cars whose price is between 20 to 60 million liras, and 100% on those cars whose price is more than 60 million liras.
