Jordan-Kuwait ties improving

Jordanian Prime Minister Abdel Salam Al Majali said on September 29 that his country's relations with Kuwait, which were broken off in 1990, are on the upswing.
"These relations are constantly improving and there are contacts and exchanges of visits by the two countries' officials," Majali said during a news conference at the end of his official visit to Oman.
Kuwait severed diplomatic ties with Jordan seven years ago, accusing it of backing Iraq's August 1990 invasion of Kuwait. Jordan and Kuwait began to talk nearly a year ago on normalizing their relations.
