Syrian foreign minister discusses ME peace process with Albright

A session of talks was held on September 29 between Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk Al Sharaa and US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright in New York city.
The meeting was attended by Syria's ambassador to Washington Walid Mualem, Syria's permanent delegate to the U.N Dr. Michael Wahbe and the Middle East peace process coordinator Dennis Ross.
Talks dealt with the U.S. role as a peace process sponsors, the resumption of talks with Israel, and the commitments reached during prior peace talks. Bilateral relations and matters of the mutual interest were reviewed as well.
