Putting public sector companies up for sale before the end of next year

The Egyptian government decided to finish the implementation of the privatization program of the public sector companies before the end of next year.

The Minister of the Public Sector Atef Ebeid requested the directors of the holding companies to establish a final program for selling the companies before the end of next year. He also asked them to specify those companies whose shares could be circulated on the stock exchange and other companies that could be sold to a single major investor.

The director of the Holding Company for Agricultural Development Eng. Ahmed Al Laithy mentioned that 5 companies will be put up for public subscription before the end of the current year.
