United Arab Emirates will not host any conference in which Israel participates
United Arab Emirates, Politics, 9/29/1997
An official source at the Foreign Ministry of the United Arab Emirates denied his country's alleged willingness to host the next conference of the international law experts committee, which will be joined by representatives from Israel.
In a statement to Radio Orient, the source said the United Arab Emirates has never and will never address any invitation for the convening of any regional or world conference on its land with the participation of Israel.
The minister said such an event will never happen until the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, based on the land for peace principle, the Palestinian people's restoration of all their national rights and establishment of their independent state, and an Israeli withdrawal from all the occupied Arab territories, foremost of which are the occupied Golan, south Lebanon, and Jerusalem.
