68 political detainees in Sudan

The latest numbers prepared by internal opposition groups indicate that a number of political detainees are being kept in Sudanese governmental prisons. Sources said about 68 persons are jailed for political causes, although the courts announced the release of all political detains.
Those detained include former ministers and government officials. Sources at the Sudan Human rights organization say the actual number may be more than 68, Alwan paper said today September 27.
