SPLA liberates Ballena 1, besieges Ballena 2

A Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) force under the command of commander Yousif Kuwa liberated the Ballina 1 garrison on September 10 and is now surrounding Ballina 2.
SPLA sources said that its militia destroyed government forces stationed in Ballena 1.
The casualties included 10 dead soldiers and a number of wounded persons. The SPLA forces captured 15 boxes of G-3 ammunition, four G-3 guns and RBJ missiles.
The forces of the SPLA in the Al-Nuba mountains have recently captured a number of garrisons and received hundreds of surrendering persons on a daily basis, Al Khartoum daily reported today.
