German tourists still going to Egypt

Egyptian Minster of Tourism Dr. Mamdouh El Beltagy declared that there has been few cancelations by Germans planning on visiting Egypt, and that the biggest trip organizers in the German market such as Toyea and Nickerman decided not to cancel their tours.
Dr. Beltagy stated that the number of individual tourists canceling their trips to Egypt is 2,000 within the groups visiting Egypt in 1998. He added that the repercussions of the incident of Al Tahrir square on the Egyptian tourism should be neither exaggerated nor underestimated.
The Head of the Chamber of Tourism and Travel Companies and Agencies asserted that the cancellation rate does not exceed 12% which is natural and expected.
