Al Gore meets Egyptian leader in Russia

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met yesterday with US Vice President Al Gore. Their talks focused on the latest developments in the Middle East and efforts to rescue the peace process.
The talks also discussed bilateral relations and the Mubarak-Gore initiative.
Al Gore, who is currently on a visit to Russia, met the Egyptian leader in his residence yesterday.
Mubarak last night attended a dinner banquets held in his honor by Russian President Boris-Yeltsin.
The Egyptian president gave a speech in which be underlined the historic roots of the two countries and their prospects for future cooperation, Al Ahrar daily said today.
