European Communtiy studies grant proposal for Palestinians

Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Nabil Shaath said that Spain will support a European Community proposal to offer a $50 million grant to the Palestinian Authority.
After meeting with the Spanish Foreign Minister, Shaath clarified that the General Affairs Council of the European Community is studying this subject. The Palestinian Minister highlighted the importance of the US role as a sponsor to the peace process and described Europe as a strategic guardian of this process.
