Increase in Jordanian tourism

The Jordanian Tourism Minister Aqil Beltagy stated that the tourism sector contributed 11% of the Jordanian gross national product through the first 7 months of the current year with a 4% increase.
He expected that the revenue from this sector will increase by the end of this year and that the number of tourists will increase by five percent.
Arab tourists top the list of tourists to Jordan followed by Israelis, especially after signing the joint operation agreement for Al Aqaba airport.
