Qatar urged to cancel conference
Regional, Politics, 9/22/1997
The Kuwaiti al Qabas newspaper called on Qatar to cancel the Doha economic conference in order to serve the Arab nation's causes.
In an article published in Kuwait on September 21 , the paper said Syria's stances were effective in maintaining security in the Arab Gulf region and in repelling aggression against its states, including Qatar.
The only beneficiary of the proposed conference is Israel which, through its participation, will perpetuate their policy of refusing basic constituents of a just and comprehensive Mideast peace.
