Gas explosion at plant injures four
Saudi Arabia, Local, 9/22/1997
A gas leak in a new furnace of Ibn Hayyan's (National Plastic Factory) vinyl chloride monomer plant caused an explosion on September 21 in which four employees were injured. Three of the injured were treated and discharged from the hospital, and the fourth was recovering in a hospital in Jubail, where Ibn Hayyan is located.
