Vaclav Havel arrives in Lebanon

Vaclav Havel, the Czech president, arrived yesterday in Beirut at the start of a Middle East tour that he hoped he would help restore the peace process.
The Czech president, who will also visit Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian self-rule areas, had said before leaving Prague that the Israeli-Arab peace process seems to have come to a halt and that he wanted to help international efforts to support it, Al Watan weekly said today.
