Palestinian Air to begin regular Jeddah flights
Palestine, Business, 9/20/1997
Palestinian Airlines is expected to begin regular fights from Al-Arish Airport on the Egypt-Palestinian border to Jeddah's King Abdul Aziz International Airport within the next two months.
The airline will initially operate two fights a week. This was announced shortly after an agreement was signed between Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian Authority this week, Al-Eqtisadiah report today.
Tariq Hafni, director general of Saudi Tourism and Traveling Board (STTB) and local agent for Palestinian Airlines in the kingdom said that arrangements to draw up a final schedule for flight operations were still underway.
He said that the airline at the moment has only two small aircraft capable carrying 48 passengers only, Akhbar Al Arab daily said today.
